After 8 years since my last corn snake, here is Udon sniffing around her new home :)

In 2018, university and renting meant I had to surrender my 7-year old amelanistic to a fellow corn owner. At some point, I had accepted I would never have another snake just because of life and work. Now, I’m my own landlord, and came across this baby at a reptile show where I told myself I was just gonna look. It felt like the right timing, because I had a retired aquarium (shallow 10-gal glass tank), a heat mat waiting to be useful, and an old fish cave.

This photo is not showing how metallic this particular shrimp is. Of course I had to buy it.

I was worried with this group because I couldn’t breed snails fast enough, and they kept on hiding when I looked at the tank. Basically started out with dropping in snails, then snails with tweezers, so that they associate tweezers = food. Then tweezers with freeze-dried blood worms. For the longest time, they ignored the blood worms, until one was curious enough to take a bite straight from the tweezers. They did not want any brine shrimp dropped into the tank, until tweezers came out and they’re practically trying to jump out of the water when I hold it over them.

My friend gifted me an Eflite 30mm A-10, but I thought I should really practice flying with a glider. It’s a good thing I did.
