RAI salivary gland help

Hey ya’ll. I’m waiting on my RAI and with needing a medium-high dose, I wonder if you have any recommendations for what helps stimulate the salivary glands to hopefully avoid issues? I’ve seen people recommend loads of water & sour patch kids, but do you have any other ideas? I’d like to be as prepared as possible! Thanks in advance!

Post-thyroidectomy op, now what?

So, I’m 1 week post-thyroidectomy op. An incredible 8 hour surgery of which I had a super team and there’s no obvious side effects. I had lateral lymph node involvement on the left side which were removed too and I’m awaiting RAI.

I’ve been reading this thread on repeat since my diagnosis as I was terrified. I’m generally a fit and healthy 30 year old so this really came out of the blue. I’m a mother of a 1 year old & 3 year old and when I heard the C word a few months ago I thought I was going to die. What an awful moment and probably the hardest part of the journey so far.

Do you have any advice from here on out? What should I be monitoring for? How long have your levels taken to balance out? Is it a 50/50 chance that I’m gonna gain weight or feel anxiety or lethargy? How long after surgery did you get RAI? How long did you stay away from your kids?

I have a lot of questions and I can only pray that I continue to heal as well as I currently am. God bless you all for your help so far.
