heteropessimism, call her daddy, etc…
will likely delete this because i genuinely don’t want a ton of people piling on this girl, because i do assume that, in the next few years, the cognitive dissonance she’s carrying will get much worse.
i was listening to the podcast extra dirty, a call her daddy offshoot from the same podcast network, but the girl who hosts it, especially at the beginning, was much raunchier. i felt like a blushing schoolgirl listening to her talk about fucking 60-year-olds and having her best friend on to talk about a threesome they’d had with the best friend’s bf.
ended up listening to her most recent episode out of boredom, and she describes a trip to ibiza and her malaise at seeing all of her friends get married. she’s good friends with influencer paige paul, who was recently married to tommy paul, professional tennis player. she also described how difficult it is to find a partner and how no guy takes her seriously.
this isn’t to dunk on her at all, but i saw a post in r/rs_x decrying heteropessimism, and there are a lot of people saying that women who don’t want children aren’t going to change their minds. i’m making the assumption that these are people who would also say that women who are outwardly hypersexual and choose to engage in hookup culture won’t change their minds either.
the host is a prime example of the slow realization that these things have consequences, and that choosing to sleep around can have consequences for women. a lot of people are inwardly more conservative, especially when it comes to the partners they choose. they will judge. they’re allowed to judge. they’re choosing a life partner.
please just try to zoom out. i wish the best for this girl. from what i understand, she has a great family, brothers, etc., things that should’ve been stopgaps to this sort of thing if i’m running off stereotypes.
you can hate me in the comments, but i hope at least one girl can get a tiny bit of perspective from this. i wish her the best, and i hope she finds someone who can love her despite everything and that she ends up happy.
her situation is a lot more common than alex cooper’s, where you marry an hbo exec, have a baby, and eventually have the public consciousness forget most of your public indiscretions.
kim k’s situation is a lot more common. she’s a billionaire whose company is partnered with nba players, and people still bring up the sex tape.
