What were your impressions of the Blue White scrimmage?

Was at my son's soccer game so wasn't able to watch much. Based on the highlights Embiid looked like he was moving well, VJ looks ready for a massive second year leap and Maxey, Brown and LeBron looked like you'd expect.

I know it's a glorified pick up game, but did anything jump out at you?

LeBron Embiid pick and roll is going to be devastating

The last time Embiid played with an elite pick and roll ball handler he and Harden led the league in points per possession, despite Harden being severely limited in finishing at the rim.

LeBron is in the same tier of elite PnR passers and is still an absolutely elite finisher at the rim. Not to mention you'll have Maxey, VJ and JB open on the perimeter to hit catch and shoots or attack close outs.

Our offense is going to be absolutely elite this year.

I shot a 91 today with 42 putts

This game continues to find new ways to humble me. For a long time I really struggled with ball striking, which was just brutal and really had me questioning whether or not to continue with golf. Thankfully (for now..) I have resolved those issues and have been absolutely striping the ball.

Today I went out and hit 10/18 GIR and just could not make a putt to save my life. Lip outs, missing by inches, missing by several feet I had it all. Throw in a few duffed chips and I ended up with an 91.

Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic with how I played. A few months ago I was struggling to break 100 and now my last three rounds have been 93, 90, 91, but man does this game find ways to keep you humble.

Any drills you can do at home to help putting? I have space but my house is over 100 years old so none of the floors are level. Are there any apps that work as a putting launch monitor?

I stopped thinking about my swing and started thinking about where I wanted the ball to go...

and I had the best range session I've ever had today.

This is my second season taking golf seriously, I'm a high handicapper who struggles to make consistent contact. I've always been frustrated though because I'm naturally athletic and coordinated and normally do not struggle to pick up new sports.

I've had lessons, gotten fit for clubs, tried all the YouTube drills etc but today I feel like I had a real breakthrough. Instead of thinking swing thoughts focused on my swing, like elbow in, weight shift, etc, I just imagined a window I wanted the ball to go through about 4 feet in front of me, or in the case of the driver, a spot about a foot in front of the ball that I wanted the ball to fly right over. All of a sudden I was flushing everything, my weight was shifting properly, I was ending on balance, it's like everything clicked. I ended the session going through my whole bag from Driver to 58* hitting 3-5 shots per club, and I had one mishit.

It seems like getting out of my own head and just letting myself be an athlete might be the trick for me.

Anyway, I'm excited to take all of this newfound knowledge to my tee time on Monday and shoot a 102.

I've read a few stories here about people struggling to shoot under a number and then blowing it away and it happened to me today.

This is my second season taking golf seriously and prior to today I've never broken 100. I've come painfully close a few times including going to 18 with a 92 and carding an 8 to shoot exactly 100.

Today's round started with a topped drive leading to a triple on the first, so I didn't have high hopes. I bogeyed the second but then parred the next two. There were a couple blow up holes but I made the turn at 48, so I knew I was on pace to break 100 but typically I shoot worse on the back 9 so I wasn't really optimistic.

Ended up shooting 45 on the back nine including a really nice birdie on a tough uphill par 4 and carded a 93. Also realized at the end of the round that I used the same ball the entire round, which is also a first for me.

Biggest difference from my typical round, which goes hand in hand with not losing any balls, is that my bad drives today were still in play and my good drives were really good. All the memes aside, when the driver is working it really feels like a cheat code.

Next stop, breaking 90!
