Got a VZN.1 clone from Temu. It has ridges inside the hosel - adapter or just epoxy?

Hey everyone, This is my very first time attempting a club build, and I already made a beginner mistake. I bought a L.A.B. Golf VZN.1i clone/knock-off head from Temu as a fun project, but I didn't realize it came completely bare without a shaft. Now I need to figure out how to put it together!

Adapter vs. Epoxy: Looking down into the center-shaft hole, it has some visible rings/ridges inside, but it definitely doesn't look like screw threads. Am I right in assuming these are just scoring/epoxy ridges to help the glue bond, and that I just need to epoxy a straight shaft directly into it? No adapter needed?

Shaft suggestions: Since it's a center-shafted mallet, I know I need a 0.370" straight tip shaft. I am currently looking at the KBS CT Tour Putter Straight (0.370"). Will this work well with this type of head, or do you guys have other recommendations for a stiff, stable putter shaft that won't twist?Since it's a cheap clone, I'm not overly worried about the ultra-precise "Zero Torque" balancing, I just want a fun, stable mallet putter to roll some balls with.

Appreciate any tips or advice on the build!
