Youtube Download client

Does anybody have a decent solution on how to setup the Youtube download client for Lidarr? The trusted-session-generator project is apparently deprecated so I went with Invidious, no idea how to set it up for generating PoTokens and Visitor Data though.

I'm using the latest version of the Tubifarry plugin, slskd integration works like a charm but it still doesn't get me all the music I want.

If you have any recommendation for different download clients or indexers aswell I'm all ears, just want a working setup for my music needs.

Edit: I managed to make it work. The Tubifarry main branch is currently not working properly! Change to develop by entering this in the GitHub URL field: Tubifarry@TypNull#develop

Use "Youtube" as indexer and download client. Add the cookie.txt to both. You can extract it by using any browser addon that does this, just go to youtube.com, log in if you're not already and download the cookie.txt file. Then you can simply upload it to your server and link to it in the indexer and donwload client setup.

DNS setup

Hello

I am very new to DNS and don't understand entirely how it works.

I've got my server setup to run for mostly media. Now I want it to be accessible over a domain so I can setup proxies for various services. I bought a domain that I want to run on said server through bind9.

Now to the thing I don't exactly understand: Any registrar seems to host domains on their own servers which can't be changed unless I also have a secondary server with a seperate IP. Can someone explain to me what I am missing here? Cause as far as I see, many tutorials on how to setup a nameserver only mention a primary server.

Thanks in advance!

Folder not writeable issue

I just setup Lidarr for my Ubuntu server environment. User lidarr, group media with 775 permission on the music folder and all subfolders. Everything should work as expected, however Lidarr tells me it doesn't have write permissions when I try to add the root folder:

Folder '/data/media/music/' is not writable by user 'lidarr'

I also tried to change permissions to 777 to test out whether it's a permission setup mistake, however it still puts out the same error. Kinda at a loss here... The rest of my apps all work as intended (Sonarr, Radarr and Prowlarr don't have any issues). I also tried to reinstall it over script and manually.

Here are the logs:
