Do you guy document record of bitcoin bought/ transferred/ sold for tax purposes?

Hi everyone! Looking for a new hot wallet(s) to hold bitcoin preferably one that has both mobile and browser. Let me know what you guys recommend/use.

Fairly new to Bitcoin but not crypto. I live in Canada and currently use Kraken to buy and hold. I plan on holding long term but I heard kraken is not great to hold long term with because it’s the chains coins technically and not mine. Any advice on whether or not I should transfer to a cold storage wallet and if so which Wallets are easier to use and maintain for holding long term with no risk.
