Black Coral Plumeria question

I've done two back waxes and one torso wax at work with Black Coral Plumeria. I have used about half of the 2.2 pound bag, emptying the wax pot each time. Is this normal? The temperature is where it's supposed to be I think. It's not too warm for my clients and it's still pliable. Could I be using too much per swipe? I had a meeting with my boss and she implied that I was using too much.

Wax advice

I'm needing some advice on post wax care. I'm going to be waxing a young trans woman's chest and back. I understand skin is skin. I've waxed men before. I've even waxed her dad's back. I will be using Black Coral Plumeria. I want to give her a goodie bag for post care for the days after. What would you suggest? I'm thinking something for gentle exfoliation, an oil, hypochlorous acid spray.

Wax and waxing and office politics

This might get wordy so, tl;dr Suddenly tapped to be spa waxer with no real world body wax experience. Face wax, all good. Micromanager, poor history with them. I'm licensed for 2 years. Dual licensed in my home state and neighboring state.

Hi everyone! I received my license in March 2024. My schooling was minimal for waxing but I do love it. Yes, I've done a disservice to myself by not keeping up and practicing with my friends. I'm feeling bad enough about it. March 2025 I finally got a job at the big orange beauty retailer as a Brow Expert and loved it. A month later my second job (casino with a luxury day spa) finally called me and offered me a position as a supervisor/front desk. I jumped at it.

I made mistakes and was demoted from supervisory duties to just front desk. Then they say I made too many mistakes with SpaSoft. Instead of training me through the mistakes I was put in the locker room. There are too many esthies for the business currently. There's barely enough for two full time and the spa has five not counting me. Yet my director still hired me. Probably because it would've been good to have an esthetician in a supervisor role.

Two weeks ago she confirmed that I do total body waxing. Then tells me that she and her boss were adding me on to do all of the spas waxing when I am on shift. This will eventually turn into me doing only waxing and not being a locker room attendant. This will take some time as the casino's marketing department will need to get the word out about having a body waxer on staff. The way it will go now is when a wax service comes up I will leave my duty, perform the service, then go back to the locker room. Yes, it's ... let's all be a little upset for me. I am putting my resume out there everywhere in the meantime. My area is saturated.

This upcoming week I'll be training with another esthie for the way we set up the room and takedown. I'll also learn sugaring from another person. I'm excited about that part. The spa is going to use Black Coral Plumeria. I have never used it. I don't know the pre/post protocol. I can't find much online for it. I saw that Waxing Queen is on the Black Coral website so I'll dig into that more and into her work as well.

My question to y'all: This feels kind of sketchy. Right? I don't know. I have a chance to build a career with the spa like the other providers have. It's been open for three years. I know this is an experiment for them. It is a tribal casino that has a luxury day spa and four star hotel attached. The benefits of working at the casino are pretty good. That's why I've stayed.
