Refuses to go on walks with other people
Hi! This is Nootka, my 8 year old healthy, happy lady. She loves everyone and most of all- of course - loves going on hikes and runs. In the last couple of years though she has developed a habit of not wanting to go on walks with other people when they come to take her out when I am away. Even people she knows really well! She'll act really excited to see them, go outside with them on our property ... but then refuses to leave for an actual walk. It's a real problem because I can't always be around to exercise her; I have to be able to travel without her ! Has anyone experienced this / has any ideas ? People have tried offering treats, bringing other dog friends, leash, no leash, all kinds of stuff, and she just wants to stay home. It's like she thinks she has to be there to wait for me or something! I'm not sure what to do... 💔
