Stop forced upgrades?

I'm just trying to open Powershell and run a command but every now and then there must be an upgrade and it forces me to upgrade and I can't do anything until I do the upgrade. Is there a way around this?

11 Years to Retirement: Consolidate & Invest vs. Aggressive Debt Payoff

I am looking for some advice/feedback on the following:

Background:

  • Timeline: 11 years to retirement.
  • Savings: Established retirement base.
  • Mortgage: $55k at 3.4% (renews next year).
  • Line of Credit (LOC): $20k at 5.5%.

Option 1: Consolidate and Invest

  • Combine LOC into the mortgage on a new 5-year term.
  • Accept a slightly higher renewed mortgage rate with a slightly lower payment (leaves more money for investing)
  • Maximize retirement contributions over the next 5 years.
  • Redirect debt payments to retirement after the mortgage is cleared in 5 years.

Option 2: Aggressive Debt Payoff First

  • Keep debts separate.
  • Aggressively pay down the LOC and mortgage (both cleared in approximately 3 years).
  • Minimize retirement contributions during this 3-year window.
  • Redirect all freed cash flow to retirement savings for the remaining 8 years.

The Dilemma: AI Calculations assuming a 7% average market return show Option 1 yields approximately $3,000 more after 10 years. Option 2 provides the security of being entirely debt-free in 3 years. Looking for rationales to choose one path over the other.
