Spin360 Fan Review: Disappointing
I've had the Spin360 Fan for about 2 weeks now and have been using it daily. I had some thoughts about it but didn't put it into words until Spin360 sent an email to have me write a review. When I tried to submit the review, the button does not work and instead just directs me to the product page. So, since I spent some time writing I wanted to have my review somewhere.
Rating 1/5: Does not deliver on what it was advertised to do. (IT'S NOT A NICE BREEZE LIKE SATURN'S RINGS)
I bought the Spin360 Fan after seeing the advertisements and I was intrigued by the main things it claimed to do: being virtually dead silent while still being able to create a wonderful breeze in the entire room that mimics a refreshing breeze from outdoors and instantly changing the scent in the room by use of scent pods/essential oils. Virtually dead silent is greatly over exaggerated. It is technically very quiet on the lowest speed F1 but you also don't feel any breeze unless you're sitting less than 4 feet away from it. Speeds F3-F5 is as audible as my overclocked PC fans. Speeds F6 and above sounds like a small wind turbine in the room, louder than my current fans. When you actually feel the breeze, it is a very weak breeze even at max settings. I wanted my guests to feel cooler with the breeze that goes out like Saturn's rings, but it was just too noisy to have in the middle of the room when we were all trying to have conversations and it didn't make anyone feel refreshed with a nice breeze. I expect fans to cool down an area with strong air movement. Because this Spin360 Fan is advertised to have the perfect flow of air in all directions instead of having air spinning and twisting at you, the weak air breeze it creates is not cooling at all. The movement of air helps prevent air from being stagnant and stuffy in a enclosed space, but does not offer any cooling that fans should have. Also, I'm not sure where scent pods can be purchased for this fan, but I used the included cotton swab and some essential oils to freshen up the room, however the scent was barely noticeable. I even saturated the cotton swab with a strong scented essential oil and it still didn't spread throughout my room instantly or noticeable enough. Very disappointed in the product because it didn't deliver on the main things it advertised. I give it 1 star for being good at moving air and preventing stale air, but everything else is so disappointing. I'd return it, but there's the hassle of paying for shipping and possibly not getting a full refund. It's just sitting the garage now.
