I thought about signing up for this to supplement what I’m learning in herbalism classes

Monograph for my Materia Medica (help!)

I’m working through herbalism classes and had presented this as my monograph to one of the teachers. They said there’s a bunch they’d change but since it’s my own notes, it’s fine.

As someone who really wants to learn from mistakes, I’m not sure what’s wrong? My impression, given what we’ve learned so far, is that a monograph is a collection of first-hand experiences, research with sources, favorite recipes, etc. I was purposely being concise here because I didn’t want it to be too too lengthy. I could cite sources, add more science-y info, take out the woo maybe, I dont know. I just felt kind of discouraged after receiving feedback and almost felt like I shouldn’t make a Materia Medica altogether lol.

Other than me starting classes, I’ve been working with herbs for over 10 years, so I do feel I know how to find the proper info, but I’m also always a student first, so I’m willing to learn better ways! Or improve my work and skills.

Am I totally off base? Getting somewhere?
