The Swiss shepherd subreddit is so small, so I’ve come here. A little lore: apparently Swiss shepherds were originally white German shepherds! Hitler hated them and thought German shepherds should only be brown and blonde/darker in general. So, many white shepherds were killed in nazi Germany! Groups around Europe kept them alive and eventually they’ve become their own breed. They’re similar to GS in many ways but they’re always white and have a slightly softer personality to GS, also more likely to lie around, lol (still very active though). Anyways, this is my girl Sable! She’s 7 months old. Does anybody else have a swiss shep?
