Why is there this blocking the front of my window ac?

Why is there this blocking the front of my window ac?

What is the point of this? I have to clean the front cover and I have to unscrew all these things to get access to the front of the unit. I would understand on the outside, but I cant think of a reason for this. Can I just remove the whole thing and leave it off?

Chefs, do you ever send food back or complain?

I used to have the mentality that if the food sucks I just won’t go back. I can deal with mediocre service if the food is amazing. Recently, my mindset has changed because I don’t want to spend my hard earned money on shit. For example, if a piece of meat was slightly overcooked, I’d just let it slide. Food lacks seasoning? Whatever. Maybe I am getting old and my patience has worn thin. Should I feel bad sending food back? Should I be more compassionate because I work in the industry?

Is toki underground still good?

Last time I ate here was many years ago when it was still owned by Erik and the ramen craze was starting and had to wait in line. It was amazing. Since the new owners took over I have been seeing a lot of negative reviews. Is it not as good as it used to be or is it just a consistency issue? I went to Sakuramen once and the broth tasted like water. Should I give them a second chance? Any recommendations are welcome too. Thanks!
