Any Post-Op Musicians That Use Wah/Volume Pedals

I'm currently over 5 weeks post-op and getting ready to build my next pedalboard before my next show, at the end of August. Every pedalboard setup I've used in the past has at least one wah or a volume pedal. This next one I'm building is no different.

If there are any guitar/bass players in here, please share your experience after 12 weeks post-op if you felt that you had issues using a wah or volume pedal with your once dominant foot.

Thank you in advance.

KneeRover Initial Thoughts

Hello! I’m a week post-op tomorrow and wanted to share my thoughts for those that are considering a knee scooter of some kind.

After spending the last week searching Marketplace and Craigslist for deals on a pre-owned knee scooter, I ended up finding the refurbished section on the KneeRover website.

I was able to purchase this open box unit for only $92, including shipping, after an additional 15% off code they have available right now on their website. There were lesser quality ones listed on Marketplace for more money that clearly were pre-owned. So the money was right.

Before I pulled the trigger on this open box unit I researched this model extensively to see if it would work for my needs and my situation. I’m not going outside the house with this unit during my recovery, so I didn’t need the pneumatic tires to roll over the smallest obstacles. My significant other and I keep the house clean so I don’t have any obstacles to roll over inside, except for a dog bone shard here and there, but she tries to keep those vacuumed up as much as possible. She still worries about me hurting myself riding it around the house, especially because our main hallway is my new favorite “drag strip”.

The turning radius is not great, but my house is set up that I can mostly make loops in rooms without needing to go back and forth multiple times to get turned around. I’m also a bigger guy that has no problem standing on my good leg and lifting the KneeRover to turn it 180 degrees either in the master bathroom or next to my bed like in the pictures I shared.

If you’re considering a knee scooter, I definitely recommend this KneeRover model if your situation is similar to mine. Any questions are welcome about the knee scooter or my Achilles story.

Anagram Pedalboard Build

I recently helped a friend build his Anagram pedalboard over the weekend.

This was my first attempt at using the cable management pieces that I’ve been seeing more and more Instagram posts from pedalboard builders.

Not perfect by any means but I was satisfied for the most part with how it turned out. Is there anything you would change for the build or cable management that would help me in the future?

Thank you, have a great Memorial Day!

HX Stomp Pedalboard

I have a good friend who recently purchased a new home with a room in the basement he’s turning into an office/jam room.

I’ve had my HX Stomp laying around unused with other pedals, and a pedalboard, I haven’t used in years. So, I decided to build him a community pedalboard for his jam room that our friends can use without having to bring their own gear over.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. If you would change anything for this pedalboard, what would it be knowing that it is not someone’s main rig.

Thank you and have a great Memorial Day!
