Considering GLP. 6 years post VSG. I have so many questions.

I had my VSG in March of 2020 at 39 years old. My highest weight pre op was 265 and I’m 5’7”. Due to the pandemic I had next to no after care.

I steadily crept down to 200-210lbs and stayed there. Not where I wanted to be at all, to be honest, but I couldn’t make that needle budge. Then, due to out of control PMDD, I had an oophorectomy in April of 2025. Now, despite HRT (2mg oral estrogen, mirena IUD for endometrial suppression, compounded testosterone cream), my weight is creeping up. I’m currently floating around 220lbs and I hate it. I hate the way I feel and look.

The problem is I still very much feel my restriction. I don’t feel like I overeat but I admittedly am not tracking calories. I have AuDHD and definitely deal with some amount of sensory seeking in food while still never feeling truly “hungry”. I deal with a lot of reflux and have long believed I have the gastric motility of a tree sloth. I also have hEDS.

I see everyone talking about GLP-1’s and what a miracle they are for people. Not only for weight loss but also inflammation and even ADHD symptoms? That said; I’m nervous. I sometimes regret my VSG because I miss being able to truly enjoy food. I never had reflux before it and now it’s a daily thing.

Is there any chance anyone here has some insight? I’ve been to every specialist known to man. Biggest hormonal/endocrine issue we’ve found is a microadenoma on my pituitary gland. I wish I could find a good doctor that can look at the entire picture and help but…cries in US Healthcare.
