Tried to be patient: Perelman out
That was embarrassing regardless of the roster. Bad subs again. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but it's clear he's not ready for this level.
He did so well to stabilize the locker room but he's out of his depth.
Depth
Maybe it's just me, but for the first time in a while I feel good about our depth at most positions. Could we benefit from some upgrades? Of course. What team couldn't?
LB is still the big issue but with Angulo able to fit there when Rhein gets subbed I'm not worried about it.
I think it comes down to Perelman having a more flexible approach than Pareja and being willing to give real minutes to the depth players, which in turn helps keep starters fresh but also builds the on-field relationships between players.
Any news on Nogueira?
Is he training with the team? Will he be in the game day squad? On the bench?
I was happy to see Rhein is back to full health and he's done reasonably well at LB but I think we all can see that he's not good enough to be the starter (yet).
Would you start Guske at CB?
He played really well against San Luis and I heard that he has filled in there for YUSMNT.
Would you sit Brekalo for a game to see how it goes?
League parity as competitive advantage?
MLS salary rules were conceived to promote competitive parity and we see that play out as most teams have a real chance to reach the playoffs each season. So there shouldn't be a big competitive gap, top to bottom.
League MX was not built for parity so a few super clubs tend to dominate. And 20 years ago the worst LMX teams were as good or better than the best MLS teams.
But over the last 10 years, MLS has definitely improved to the point that the top MLS teams are on par with the top LMX clubs.
So due to parity, I would expect that average MLS clubs should beat up on average LMX teams and I think we're finally seeing that now.
Anyone have data to prove/disprove this crazy notion?
Termite control company?
Anyone have a termite fumigation company they can recommend?
Any good OCSC pregame talk shows?
Title says it all...
Early kickoff today!
I was checking my plans for the day and noticed today's game is a 4:30 kickoff (not the 7:30 kick that I assumed).
Thank you for your attention
Immediately after the game ended Messi was off the field and in the tunnel. Doesn't have the sportsmanship to shake hands with his team mates, let alone his opponent. What a prick.
Game ends at 2:11:50. Messi is in the tunnel at 2:12:20. Thirty seconds.
