LEGO Minecraft 21586 Pale Garden Upscale - Creaking (Weeping Angel) Mechanism Preview

Apologies for linking to a Youtube Short, seemed like the easiest way to share it. I’ve been trying to cook up a mechanism for a creaking/weeping angel play feature, and I cannot believe I actually made something that works! If anyone has any recommendations to maybe make it a bit better, that would be awesome, cause it’s definitely a little bit jank, but I’m so proud of how it turned out! Going to work on trying to finish the model and make a proper video for the whole thing soon!

(Also, shoutout to whoever made the Creaking design I used, it’s so good, saw it somewhere on one of the LEGO Minecraft subreddits, please know the design is not my own)

LEGO Minecraft 21251 Steve's Desert Expedition Upscale!

I've had a handful of smaller sets that I've made upscales of in Stud.io but haven't built in person, so while ordering parts for one of my other projects, I decided to pick up the rest I needed for this as well! I definitely need to smake some small modifications to a couple things, but I really love my baby camel design, as well as my take on Cheesey Studio's Phantom design. I had built a couple of them before for another one of my MOCs, but had some issues with the neck specifically, so I changed that, as well as used some newer pieces for the wings! I hope to get the parts list and instructions uploaded to my website within the month, as I'll need to order some new parts, but ya! Let me know what you think!

Probably the last upscale I'm planning to do for the 2026 sets since this was the last set I super excited for, but finally got around to finishing up a first pass at the model! I really wanted to get a mechanism that when the player is facing the creaking, the mechanism that makes it move disengages, and vice versa, so it should HOPEFULLY work, but I do have to get the parts in hand and check out if it does or not.

I do also have the feature from the set, where you can push a part of the tree to reveal a creaking heart, but I feel like I'm missing something still. What do you think? I would love to show off the play features, but it's kind of hard to do that in Stud.io, but I do plan on making a video similar to my other projects showing them off when it's done!
