I'm 1/2 way through my M31 run, 89 x120 L, 30 x 180 R, 30 x 180 G, 29 x 180 B. going to add 120 L to stack tonight, then an hour of Ha at 300 sec. Ran everything through astro wizard then SyQon stuff in pixinsight. Bortle 2.9 outside twentynine palms.

1st clear night with FRA600 and running 300sec exposure of Ha on the crescent nebula. Going for 8 hours of Ha in backyard (bortle 8.6) before heading to desert Sunday going to add 6 hours Oiii there in bortle 2.9. test run checking backspace and how the am3n counter weighted is going to handle the guiding,so far guiding is solid running between .28 and .50. framing of pic different but trying to pull in some other things in image. Getting use to 420mm, was running 336mm on gt71 before.

Was running a gt71 and was looking for a bigger scope that could run with and without reducer....then the fra600 showed up at 50% off,too good to pass up. So I'm the owner of a new fra600, transferred everything over to it and will have to run the am3n until the next paycheck. Then I will be grabbing an am5n. Transfered my ASI2600MM, efw,eaf,caa,asi220,50mm guide scope,asiair . Ohh other thing I need is new dew heater, gt71 dew heater little small for the beast
Working on the elephant trunk nebula, bortle 9 and on the coast of so cal. Last few months has had heavy marine layer every night. Only get a few hours every few nights. I'm done with 10 hours of Ha, almost done with my 8 hours of Sii and 1/2 way through my 20 hours of Oiii. Now waiting on the weather to finish my Sii, then waiting on the moon and weather to finish my Oiii. Then a few hours to get my rgb stars. But I was impatient so tried a few different processes on pixinsight with the data I have so far. Down sized from 135mb to 15mb aghhh

Just did a huge upgrade and took my 1st images with my new asi2600mm, 4 hours of Ha and 5 hours of Olll. 1st time processing mono, took the easy way out and stacked in pixinsight and processed in Astro wizard in HOO and tried a Hubble mix too. Bortle 9

About 10 hours on the crescent nebula, bortle 9. Been a real pain in the .... Living close to the beach in so cal. Get 1 to 2 hours a night before the marine layer comes rolling in. Used 2 different filters . Stacked in siril and processed in pixinsight

Ok 1st time to desert in a bortle 3 location with scope. Stacked 54 5 minute exposures and processed in pixinsight, still learning pixinsight. The difference in process bortle 3 vs bortle 9 is huge.

1st time taking my scope to desert today and tomorrow, it has only been in backyard last month in bortle 9. I'll be at a neighbor's desert house outside twenty nine palms in a clear bortle 3 sky. My thoughts for the weekend are 2 nights on m101(uv/ir filter), 300 second exposures and just get as many pics to stack as I can. I want to see what scope can do and how much easier processing is. This will be a test run before objects that interest me more start showing up in summer and fall. What does everyone think.
