India’s literacy map in 2025 shows a massive regional divide
India’s overall literacy rate for people aged 7 and above is estimated at 80.9%, according to recent PLFS/MoSPI data. Kerala (95.3%), Mizoram (98.2%), Lakshadweep (97.3%) and several Northeast states continue to lead the rankings, while Andhra Pradesh (72.6%) and Bihar (74.3%) remain among the lowest.
The map highlights how literacy outcomes still vary sharply across regions despite steady national improvement.

Its funny how powerless we are against our college management.
WE are the customers, & WE are the ones being screwed.
Isnt this 6 day working an ethics violation??
Now the entire semester will be spent just waiting for sundays, sleeping on sundays and sleepwalking on the work days.
Why aren't the faculty pushing back?, clearly they have more power than us petty cockroaches. Isn't it stressful for them too?
