Latest mod, a rebuilding success

I had built a PRX style case (last picture, from Caroline Mod Store on AliX) with the Namoki ‘Tron’ dial and hands a while ago. I liked the looks, but boy did that thing like to rip my arm hair out any time it moved. As a result, I didn’t wear it much. Saw the AndoAndoAndo case and decided to give it a shot. Used the band from my Angles disc one that I didn’t really like on that watch and love the way it came out. Glad I decided to rebuild it, one of my new favorites!

Komodo bumblebee edition

Got the Komodo titanium in finally with a few extra bezels, trying out the black ceramic and really like the contrast. I’ve been getting extra bright straps for my watches lately, definitely keeping with the trend. 😁

New strap day!

Just want to shout out u/FromTheGarage and his cool web tool. Decided I want to try a strap on this Zelos Helica ‘Vesper’ and used the tool to find a far less expensive version. Looks great and saved money. My only complaint is I somehow ordered like 20 other straps. Weird.

I feel like I’ve been gravitating more towards straps lately, especially if they have deployant clasps. I’m apparently pretty hard on bracelets.

Some of the mods I've made over the last year... (20)

Limited to 20 images, so here's 20 I have a on hand. Probably another 10 or so that I've made and either given away or have somewhere. After I made the first one, I thought I'll just do another one or two... oops. Always fun to find inspiration on this subreddit, hopefully these will spark someone to make something they love.

  1. DLW watches aquanaut case, Lucius Atelier dial and hands (one of my favorites and my first actual mod)
  2. Namoki TV case with Fordite dial and Namoki 'Tron' hands
  3. Tokei parts - explorer 36mm v2 case
  4. Lucius Atelier 36mm titanium ultra thin, dial from AliX (I think DS watch club has it) - this is my wife's watch I made her
  5. Tokeilab EXP 36mm v2 w/ bracelet. Hands from Monarke
  6. AliX 33mm case w/ Monarke hands for the wife
  7. Tokeilab 62MAS conversion case + bracelet, Namoki 62MAS dial + hands
  8. Tokeilab 62MAS conversion case, Namoki 62MAS dial + hands
  9. Tokeilab SKX Willard conversion with their pelagos dial, chapter ring and hands
  10. Namoki 932 field watch case, AJuiceT dial, tokeilab hands, Martin Design strap (stolen from another watch)
  11. AliX - Wildfire SKX case
  12. Tokeilab EXP 36mm v2 w/ their pelagos dial, chapter ring and hands
  13. Namoki N50 (Sinn 'hommage') parts
  14. AliX - Caroline Mods aquanaut style case
  15. AliX - Tandorio 62MAS case w/ AJuiceT dial
  16. AliX - Tandorio 62MAS titanium case w/ all AliX parts
  17. AliX parts, saw someone else do this on here and call it the Jellyfish. I wear it in the garage and have scratched it up like crazy.
  18. AliX -Caroline Mods aquanaut style case w/ AliX parts
  19. Tokeilab EXP 36mm v2 w/ bracelet - this has become a revolving door for various dial and hand combos
  20. AliX - Wildfire matte black SKX case

Komodo allocation up for grabs

I just got the Komodo titanium and for once I’m going to have self control. Who needs a Komodo allocation? First come first serve. 😁

Anybody else is welcome to post theirs too.

Traska Commuter 34 (small wrist edition)

My wife likes mostly vintage watches as they’re typically smaller, but she recently decided she wanted a more everyday kind of watch. We went through the options and decided to try Traska, specifically a Commuter 34 in Adriatic blue, and she loves it. For reference she has a 5.75” wrist, so here’s how it looks in case anyone else has a very small wrist and was looking at Traska. 👍🏻

Bought this uncle Seiko straps for something else, not even sure what now, but spotted my HA Vesterhav Tesseract feeling a bit left out. Tried it and it just works so damned well. Also got a deployant buckle with it, which I really like. I have to remember to try switching up straps more! Bonus shot, a powder blue strap on a NTH Nacken Frost.

Where do most people go for maybe middle of the road stuff? I’ve looked at some and not sure I’m ready for $300 straps. 😅 Also please post some of your cool straps!

I couldn’t decide and ended up getting both. I really love the color of the Vesper, but wow the Steel Blue is way better in person! It really pops in the light, and the online pictures just don’t do it justice. Anyways, these are my third and fourth Zelos, so fun new watch day! 😁
