Master built brisket fail

Cook was going great. Almost 15 hours in. Was moving right along at 205 but then the dreaded stall while it was wrapped. Set it to 250. Came back and hour later to my thermometer beeping at 500+ degrees and the lid sealed shut. Looks like it caught fire internally and burned my poor brisket to a crisp. I think it ruined the smoker as well. Outside looks super rough and some of the paint looks wrinkled.

Are you superstitious?

How superstitious are you? I have had the same desk chair for almost 6 years and even though the leather is falling apart, I refuse to buy a new chair. Maybe after this deal closes I will but in the middle, hell no. Any rituals that you believe help you close deals?
