I downloaded tomodachi life and got malware
for context, i couldnt afford a switch so i tried emulating the game it was okay for a few days, but then i woke up to my friends sending me screenshots of my ig story containing the mrbeast scam. what i did was log out of all my accounts on my desktop, changed my passwords and enabled 2FA on all of them then downloaded and ran malware bytes.
all of the threads i saw recommended reinstalling windows but unfortunately, that is not an option for me since i have a lot of files on my laptop that i use for school. i am also running microsoft malicious software removal tool but i am still very anxious.
can someone help me? i am feeling very down because of this and wont try to emulate any game from now on
edit: i was completely safe using the emulator and the nsp file i got from zipterto. however, i was dumb and sleepy and mustve accidentally clicked on this: vlc-media-player-3.0.23-installer_ZP-lb61.exe last night and that's what got me infected the following morning.
