What Merrell Moab 3 size should I keep?
I am completely new to hiking shoes; I normally just hiked in regular New Balance 574s. But, living where I do, most hikes are in rockier terrain (Monterrey, Mexico) and I preferred to invest in a better shoe. I settled on the Merrell Moab 3’s.
I did my research but couldn’t decide on a size, so I ordered a US size 5 and size 6 and am planning to return one of them.
For reference, my sizing varies a bit from brand to brand.
-Adidas Spezial: size 5 US
-Birkenstock Arizona: size 35 EU
-New Balance 574: 5.5 US
In terms of the Merrell, I feel like they both fit pretty well! Consider that I have a slight bunion. In the video, I show with my index finger where my big toe is, using one of the sizes in each foot.
The size 5’s:
-Feel like my size (but well, I haven’t hiked in them!)
-I don’t feel my toes touching the front of the shoe, so there’s a bit of space
-Feel comfortable to walk in
The size 6’s:
-Feel a bit bigger on me, but very comfortable still
-Have more space in the toebox
-Feel comfortable to walk in
Since I can’t decide myself, I am asking here. Anyone care to give some advice? Thank you! ❤️
