Am I missing something?
I just discovered my "Flush into objects infill/into object" items are doing absolutely nothing as far as reducing the waste from purging between swaps. Is there something else I need to do to get the same results of very little poop as I get with my Bambu X1C doing the exact same thing? Seems to me the communication of "hey, purge into me instead of poop" is getting lost somewhere and just extending the print and waste by still printing the purge item.
I've been updated on firmware; been using Anycubic's slicer (though same results with Orca); increased infill % on purge objects; in preview, the purge items get printed first even if last on object list...I don't get it. I've been printing quite a bit using purge items thinking it's been going into the item but still get a lot of poop.
I even did a slice test across 3 slicers to see if it was that. How it SHOULD look is the total filament used should be relatively close with or without a purge item assuming the item is same height of the model and the only thing that changes is the poop volume. When slicing for the KS1 however, adding a purge item just adds to the total filament used which means it's just wasting more.
Anything I need to make sure I do? Or is this just a classic Anycubic little brother trying thing his best and it hasn't learned to actually purge into items yet?
One other question, in my preview screen is there a way to have the Purge volume column show? Mine just shows Model, Tower, and Total. I've looked everywhere and can't see a way to turn it on. Can you?
I'm surprised after over a year this is still a thing that isn't intuitive if you are able to and I'm missing something.
