WHOOP 5.0 + NOOP users: what battery life are you actually getting?

I’m curious what sort of battery life other WHOOP 5.0 users are seeing when using NOOP.

I charged mine to 100% on Monday at 8:00 PM, and as of Thursday around 5:00 PM it’s already down to 50%. At that rate, I’m expecting roughly 6–7 days of battery life, which is quite a bit lower than the advertised 14 days.

That said, I may not be a typical user because I have:

• Continuous HRV enabled (I wanted to collect as much data as possible) • Deep Packets (experimental) enabled • Continuous syncing through NOOP

For anyone else running a WHOOP 5.0 with NOOP:

  • What battery life are you getting?
  • Are you using Continuous HRV?
  • Do you have Deep Packets enabled?
  • Have you noticed a significant battery-life difference compared with the official WHOOP app?

Just trying to figure out whether ~6–7 days is normal with these settings or whether something might be wrong with my setup.

Thanks!

Complete Guide: ArcticSign — Sideload NOOP on iPhone (No Computer Needed)

If you want to run NOOP on your iPhone to access your WHOOP data without the official app, but don’t have a PC handy — ArcticSign is a paid signing service that lets you sideload apps directly from your phone, no computer required.

⚠️ What is ArcticSign and why do I need it?

ArcticSign is an online service that sells iOS Developer Certificates for sideloading. Instead of using a free Apple ID (which expires every 7 days and needs a PC with AltServer to refresh), you buy a ~1‑year certificate that lets you install and run unsigned .ipa files like NOOP without ever touching a computer.

The catch? It’s a third‑party certificate service, not affiliated with Apple. Some security scanners have flagged the site — use at your own risk. That said, many users (including myself) report positive experiences.

💰 Pricing

ArcticSign offers three plans, all valid for ~1 year with revoke protection:

Plan Price (GBP) Validity Revoke Protection
Prime ~£8 ~1 year 90 days (1 replacement)
Standard ~£10.50 ~1 year 90 days (1 replacement)
Premium ~£12 ~1 year 355 days (1 replacement)

The Prime plan at ~£8 is the cheapest All plans include:

  • Instant delivery (30‑40 seconds)
  • Sign unlimited apps
  • 1 device registration

What is revoke protection? If Apple ever revokes your certificate (which can happen randomly), ArcticSign gives you a free replacement within the protection period. From my own experience, I can personally and confidently say that they replace it immediately — usually within minutes, so you’re never left stuck for long.

📱 PART 1 — How ArcticSign Works (No Computer Needed)

Unlike AltStore, ArcticSign is 100% phone‑based. The process is:

  1. Buy a certificate on the ArcticSign website.
  2. Verify your purchase on their Discord server.
  3. Register your device — they give you a configuration profile to install.
  4. Download their pre‑signed signing app (already bundled with your certificate — fully automatic).
  5. Download the NOOP .ipa and install it through that signing app.

🖥️ PART 2 — Step‑by‑Step Instructions

Step 1: Buy a certificate

Go to https://arcticsign.app, choose the Prime (~£8) plan (or any you prefer), and complete the purchase.

Step 2: Join their Discord & verify

After purchase, you’ll get instructions to join their Discord server. Verify your purchase there — this activates your certificate.

Step 3: Install the configuration profile

ArcticSign provides a profile to install on your iPhone. Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management and install it. This registers your device with their certificate.

Step 4: Get the pre‑signed signing app (this is the key bit!)

ArcticSign gives you a custom signing app (like Feather or ESign) that is already pre‑signed with your personal certificate.
👉 You don’t have to do anything manual — no importing certificates, no complicated setup. Just download the file they provide, install it directly onto your iPhone (via a profile or direct install), and it’s ready to go. It’s all automatic — the hardest part is tapping “Install”.

Step 5: Download the NOOP .ipa

Get the NOOP .ipa file from the official repository:
https://noop.fans/NoopApp/noop

Step 6: Install NOOP

Open the pre‑signed signing app you installed in Step 4, import the NOOP .ipa, and tap install. The app appears on your home screen.

Step 7: Trust the app

Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, find the profile under your Apple ID, and tap Trust.

✅ NOOP is now installed — no computer, no 7‑day re‑signing needed for a full year.

✅ Pros vs ⚠️ Cons

Pros Cons
No computer required Third‑party service — use at your own risk
~1‑year validity, no weekly hassle Some security sites flag it as risky
Sign unlimited apps Requires Discord verification
Instant delivery (30‑40 sec) Certificate revokes can happen, but protection is solid
~£8 for a full year You rely on a third party for updates

🔁 Day‑to‑day — what you should know

  • No 7‑day expiry! Your certificate lasts about a year, so NOOP stays installed and working without refreshing every week.
  • If Apple revokes your certificate (rare), ArcticSign replaces it immediately — I’ve had it happen and they sorted it within minutes. You just reinstall the new profile and reinstall NOOP. Your WHOOP data stays safe — it’s stored locally in NOOP, so reinstalling doesn’t delete anything.
  • Updates: When a new NOOP version drops, just download the fresh .ipa and install it through the signing app — no PC needed.

❓ FAQ

Q: Is this legal?
A: Sideloading isn’t illegal, but it does violate Apple’s ToS. Use at your own discretion.

Q: Is ArcticSign safe?
A: Mixed reviews online, but my personal experience has been positive. It’s not official Apple software — proceed with caution, but it gets the job done reliably.

Q: Do I need a computer at all?
A: No — everything is done directly on your iPhone.

Q: Can I install other apps too?
A: Yes — the certificate lets you sign unlimited apps.

Q: What happens after a year?
A: You’d need to buy another certificate or switch back to a free AltStore setup (which would require a PC again).
