Prachin – Khao Yai Cultivated Oud
I placed an order with Safinty a week ago and received a quarter tola so that I could experience my first single origin Oud. Communication was instant via WhatsApp and I placed an order. It arrived in 3 days here in the states which tops Amazon at times. I am new to this style of fragrance with having only a dozen or so attar or whatever they are called from scentsbyskanda and Perito Merino. Safinity really changed my outlook on perfumery and fragrances. I am blown away that a single ingredient can offer such a complex, enduring experience. This is the first of many orders that I will place with these artists and I plan to try Safinity’s entire line. One word of caution is that I suggest reaching out to them via WhatsApp instead of checking out on the web app so that you can avoid the ridiculous import charges that DHL prides themself on.
So how does it smell? Well the description pretty much sums it up and then only thing that I can add is that the opening lasts for about an hour and it is strange to me. I’m not saying that I don’t like it. I am just not used to it. A single swipe is all it takes for a full day’s enjoyment.
