Black Zine Fair returns to New York City on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 (11am-6pm).

The fair is open to all and celebrates black zine-making and indie publishing.

Featuring 100+ tablers, 10 workshops, a reading room curated by writer and educator Kameelah Janan Rasheed, a take-a-zine-leave-a-zine station, a zine-making station and more.

No money? No problem! BZF is all about keeping things free + low-cost, with many ways to participate.

- Bring your zines, trade at the Take A Zine, Leave A Zine Station, make new ones at the Zine Making Station, or take any of six workshops.

- Get your photo taken at the Riso Photo Booth by Secret Riso Club, then printed out on a risograph machine.

- Relax in the Black Reading Room with soft seating and rad publications, recharge in the Quiet Room, or grab food at the Powerhouse Arts cafe in between.
