We’ve received estimates from Four Seasons and Blue Planet, but we’d like to get at least one more before deciding. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi all! Tomorrow evening (Friday, May 8) is the closing reception for the AB Tech AFA (associate in fine arts) Student Art Show, located at the Coman Gallery inside Bridge and Tunnel Cafe on the Victoria Rd campus, from 5:30-7:00. There is parking right next to the cafe.
The show features the art of those who graduated in December and those who are graduating next week. Light refreshments will be available (some gluten free and/or vegan options). The event is free and open to the public.
I’ve seen several posts recently from folks looking to meet new people, and this is a pretty chill, low-stakes event. You don’t have to talk to anyone if you don’t want to, and you don’t have to stay the whole time. Our graduates range in age from early 20s to late 40s, so it’s not just all teenagers. We’re nerdy, ridiculous, and queer/trans friendly, if not outright queer and/or trans ourselves (we, meaning the art department; I’m not in the show- don’t graduate till this fall) - no one is too weird for us.
