36yo new to roth

I have a managed 401a &457b/457roth with my work and have been maxing out my 457b the last couple years. Due to a new promotion, I decided to stop contributing to 457roth and max out pre-tax to help limit tax liability. I make over the contribution limits for a traditional IRA so decided to start maxing out a rothIRA for the first time this year.

I dabbled with a brokerage account earlier this year but got advice that I should Max out a RothIRA before I consider brokerage as it will grow tax-free.

So far I've been more concerned with the setting up and maxing of the account and I've just been buying various stocks/etfs I've heard about.

Grew up poor so dealing with excess money is something I've been trying to teach myself over the last few years. Are there any good resources for learning investment strategies for Roth IRA?

I've seen some posts that suggest only having only a few ETFs but growing up I always heard you should " diversify" your portfolio.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!
