>Q: Hostile faction NPC patrols near HQs are causing issues for newer players and those using Scientist or Combo suits. Is this intended? What about the planned enemy radar near HQs?
A: Patrol routes will be adjusted next patch to keep them further away from HQs. The issue mainly affects Rise due to HQ placement. Patrol difficulty may also be scaled by matchmaking level in the future, and HQ doors are being considered.
>Q: When will temporary armour and container models be updated?
A: The Orion model will be updated in the next patch.
>Q: Why was hideout loot changed to specific containers instead of being spread across furniture? Why were NPC patrols added? What are your current goals as a game designer?
A: The new loot system is more predictable for players and easier to balance. NPC patrols are meant to maintain danger in locations with few enemy players and only spawn when faction populations are unbalanced. As for my goal: make the game better.
>Q: Hybrid and mobility builds feel weaker after recent healing changes. Any updates on Quasi-Destructors?
A: That's mainly a question for the balance team. Their current focus is reducing excessive healing in long-range fights, which may also affect overly durable builds. Quasi-Destructors and modules are being reworked to be more user-friendly, and Quasi-Destructors will no longer be required to remove modules.
>Q: When will we be able to paint backpacks and containers?
A: First batch of paintable backpacks and containers is planned for July.
>Q: How is the Lyubech rework progressing?
A: Designers are currently prototyping new features for Lyubech's core gameplay loop.
>Q: When can we expect the matchmaking rework?
A: No ETA, but it's a major priority. Work is ongoing on both general matchmaking improvements and solo-versus-party matchmaking.
>Q: Open-world player numbers seem to be declining. Are there plans to address this?
A: Yes. We will continue adjusting the economy and other systems to keep players engaged with the open world in particular.
>Q: What is being done to improve new player retention?
A: The onboarding team is working on first-hours gameplay improvements, a better handbook, and other changes. Some of these will arrive in the next patch.
>Q: When will smaller session maps move to a night-only rotation?
A: Map rotation adjustments are coming next patch.
>Q: Why was Reichstag built around a WW2 setting instead of STALCRAFT's lore?
A: Reichstag has become a tradition and serves as a testing ground for new mechanics. Features such as mechs and other systems developed for the event may appear in future updates.
>Q: Will there be another major story expansion after Master of the Zone?
A: A third chapter of the main story is planned, but it's not currently in development. It is expected to lead players towards Pripyat.
>Q: What happened to the wardrobe update?
A: It's still planned, but higher-priority projects are taking precedence. The feature requires significant UI and UX work. Older cosmetics may become available through sources such as Spartak's stock or the Arsen shop before then.
>Q: Will the wardrobe system include progression-based camo unlocks?
A: A challenge-based camouflage progression system was planned for Reichstag but ran into technical issues. It may return in the future.
>Q: Has any progress been made on Pripyat?
A: It's still in the earliest planning stages. Significant optimization work is required first. The goal is to make all buildings enterable and functional.
>Q: How is the auction update progressing?
A: The UI and documentation are complete. However, the auction is being redesigned into an exchange system, and development of the backend has not yet started.
>Q: Are there any plans to change artefact spawning?
A: We want to make artefact hunting more predictable and interaction-based.
>Q: Is the Master-tier MPX real?
A: Hmm…
>Q: Will MPX be upgraded to Master-tier for those who had it previously? I don’t expect it to magically upgrade for free.
A: Similar upgrades have been done before, such as with the Kriss Vector. MPX will get bumped up to Master-tier, but will pay for that with its features.
>Q: Any plans to add the CR-380 to the Act Ticket legendary pool?
A: No plans at the moment. Only the CR-72 is planned for the upcoming Act.
>Q: Could all shop offers become tradeable between players?
A: No. Some restrictions are intentional, while others are technical. However, tradeable versions of some styles that previously lacked them are being added.
