Hey
Hey guys,
I'm planning to upgrade to the new Switch 2 soon and I want to make sure I don't risk getting it banned.
Here is my current setup: I have a chipped Switch OLED. On the CFW (pirated) side, I only used a completely random, offline dummy account. My main, clean Nintendo account (with all my purchased digital games) was only used on the OFW side. I've never touched hacks, mods, or save editors on my main account.
When I get the Switch 2, I only want to download my legally purchased games. I do not want to transfer any save data or files from my chipped console.
My plan is to go to OFW on my old Switch, unlink my main account from that device, and then log into my new Switch 2 with it.
Since the console name on my main account's web profile still shows the old console's name, will Nintendo flag this, or am I 100% safe from a console ban on the Switch 2? Has anyone done this transition successfully?
