Steam Frame WiFi dongle and kernel updates

So people have been having issues getting the Steam Frame WiFi dongle to work on Linux and it seems to be largely due to it being unsupported on kernels older than 7.2.

Pop OS appears to be on 7.1.5. So I guess my question is, is manually loading a newer kernel relatively easy and consequence free, or should I just wait for Pop OS to update? I'm not super technically adept so if it is very involved and risky, I'm inclined to just wait.

How common are scripting bugs?

I had no issues in my first playthrough of Control last year, but on my 2nd playthrough I ran into a bug when I did the Old Boys Club mission. I even know exactly when it happened. I took the elevator to the Research department and right after exiting I saw the shortcut to the HRE lab open to my left. I went through it, not thinking, and it bugged out the mission to the point that I needed to restart it.

I also had another friend who dropped the game only partway through because he somehow missed getting the Launch ability and he got bored by the constant, tedious "gunplay".

So I guess my question is, how often do people run into bugged missions? Is there a pattern to them or is it pretty random whether you will run into one?

Question: why does Steam ignore auto-tiling?

This is just out of curiosity because it's not really a problem or anything. But I have my desktop set to auto-tile, but Steam ignores it and also is the only application that ignores it. Why is that?

Is there a way to turn off notifications for specific applications in Cosmic?

I have an app that appears to be working properly (or at least is working well enough), except that it is constantly sending notifications that there are errors.

I've looked for a way to turn off notifications for it, but the only thing I've found is to put it on Do Not Disturb, which stops notifications altogether.
