Scored 595 - Exhausted all official material - How do I prepare for 2nd attempt?

Hi, I scored 595 on the GMAT last week (Q80, V81, DI78). I have already used all the official mocks and official questions, and I have also completed around 2,500 additional questions from GMAT Club.

I don't understand why I scored so low despite doing so many questions. My highest score in the mocks was also 595, but I thought that didn't accurately reflect my ability because I attempted most of those mocks during the early stages of my preparation.

I am targeting at least a 655 on my second attempt. How should I prepare from now on, and is it realistic to reach 655 with one month of preparation?

GMAT in 5 days — how should I use my remaining time?

My GMAT is on July 30, so I have only 5 days left. I also have 3 official mock attempts remaining.

My latest mock was 595 (Q82, DI80, V77).

How would you recommend using these last 5 days? Should I take all 3 mocks, possibly on consecutive days, or space them out and focus more on targeted practice/review?

Would really appreciate advice from tutors and people who have recently taken the GMAT.

GMAT exam canceled due to test center system failure - what should I expect?

Hi everyone,

I was scheduled to take my GMAT today, but the exam couldn't be conducted because the test center's system wasn't working. After waiting for quite some time, the staff informed me that they couldn't start the exam.

They created a case ID for me and told me to contact GMAT/Pearson VUE customer support to have my exam rescheduled. Unfortunately, customer support is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so I have to wait until Monday to call.

I have a few questions for anyone who has experienced something similar:

- How long did it take for your case to be resolved?

- Were you able to reschedule your exam without paying another fee?

- Did you get to choose a new test date, or was one assigned to you?

- Is there anything specific I should mention when I call customer support on Monday?

- Is there anything else I should do while waiting?

I have my case ID and all the details from the test center.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice. This was quite stressful after spending months preparing for the exam.

Thanks!

Score needed for MIM program in a good business school

I am a 22-year-old male with 8 months of work experience as a software developer in India. I was laid off and am currently preparing for the GMAT. My academic profile is: 87% in 10th grade, 81% in 12th grade, and 75% in graduation.

What GMAT score should I aim for, and which colleges should I target? I am also interested in finance, so please suggest suitable finance-related courses as well.

From scoring V83 to not even being able to solve medium-level questions.

Once I reached a point where I was getting only 4–5 questions wrong in my verbal sectional, I shifted my focus to improving DI for 2 weeks. But now I am struggling to solve even easy-to-medium verbal questions. I don’t know what happened. Please help me.

Is coordinate geometry really part of the GMAT syllabus?

I have already solved all the official GMAT Quant questions, and I haven’t seen a single coordinate geometry question. However, coordinate geometry is mentioned on the GMAT Club syllabus page. Can someone explain why?
