Has anyone ordered from Meng (WA ending in 5944) recently? Possible scam?
Hey everyone! Has anyone ever had issues with Meng (WhatsApp ending in 5944), or ordered from her recently?
After talking with her for a couple of days, I decided to purchase a top version bag and wallet and sent payment through PayPal on July 3rd. I spent almost $400 total.
I completely understand that these orders can take a while, so I wasn’t worried at first. On July 22nd, I messaged asking if my order had shipped. She told me it was going through customs and that the tracking number would be updated once it cleared.
By August 2nd, I still hadn’t received tracking or any other update, so I reached out again. She responded:
“Friend, I’ve been working on your order. Due to strict customs inspections lately, the goods are undergoing re-clearance. I expect to update you this week. Once we get new information, just don’t worry - the goods haven’t been detained.”
I waited another week and messaged again on August 10th asking for an update — no response. I followed up again today and still haven’t heard anything.
I’m not trying to jump straight to saying I was scammed because I know delays/customs issues happen, but the combination of no tracking number after almost 6 weeks and now not responding is making me nervous. 😭 Especially after spending almost $400.
Has anyone purchased from this Meng before or experienced something similar with her? Did you eventually receive your order? At what point would you start being concerned?
