Tonecheer Clock Tower: A beautifully detailed replica of the Prague clock tower (exterior) with an elevator and gears that you can turn!

-Do not choose a complicated booknook for your second build! I got very frustrated trying to get that cool “elevator” built. This was entirely due to inexperience because my next Tonecheer build with an elevator went very smoothly.

-Who knew that filing and painting edges could be so satisfying. I took the advice of many who posted about filing and painting edges on this subreddit. I’m not sure this helped with the illusion of reality, but it WAS fun!

-Set up a comfortable space for your work area. Hours of standing on concrete and bending over a high bar table will give you the worst lower back pain ever.

My Booknook Journey

Hello everyone, I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to post something! I'm a relative newbie to the hobby and I've learned so much from each kit I've built, so I decided that's what I'd post. I've now completed 8 kits, but I'll spread out my posts so I won't bore you to tears!

Joincon Magic World: First kit! Great snap-in build for a beginner. I’m hooked!

-Watch out for secondary sellers. I ordered this in early November and didn’t get it until the end of February after I threatened the seller with a charge back.

-Pay close attention to the instructions and check each step twice, especially if it requires many sub-steps. I glued the wand boxes to the wrong shelf where they were completely obscured by the ladder.

-Gently remove pieces from the boards. I broke several and had to glue them back together, somewhat unsuccessfully.

-Check for duplicates. I found them AFTER gluing the ones I broke!

-Buy the tools posted in the Basic Tools Guide Thank you for the list u/pluck-the-bunny!
