C1 Speaking prep tips
Hi, I’ve been preparing for the C1 exam for the last 3.5 months with weekly lessons from an iTalki tutor + el cronómetro, the new edelsa c1 textbook and a por el DELE. My exam is next week.
One thing I’ve found odd though is that my tutor hasn’t given me much of any explicit practice instructions for the oral exam apart from I guess interweaving the style of questioning into our lesson. He seems pretty convinced that I’ll do ok on the oral exam, and has recommend I focus more on the Writing test.
I’d like to believe him but it really doesn’t inspire confidence to have so little explicit practice this close to the test so I’m trying to cram more preparation in this week. I don’t know what to make of it honestly bc I don’t feel prepared for that test following his advice but I’ve also seen ppl here say they thought they bombed the speaking test and actually did pretty well so maybe he’s on to something…
I tried recording myself doing tarea 1 and the nerves really got to me and I don’t think I did very well. Any advice on what / if anything I can do, both mentally and in terms of concrete practice to feel more ready for the exam?
