Center of the Universe 2013

After seeing BTS the other day, I was curious if I had any video of when I saw them back in October 2013 in Jackson, Wyoming at the Pink Garter Theatre, and what the band lineup was back then. I found this :)

You Were Right as a 3-piece

Most of “You Were Right” the last song of the encore from last night’s show in Victor, Idaho. Had a spot in the front so I felt obligated to take a couple vids. Sorry for singing along 😜

Built to Spill - Music on Main

I haven't seen anyone post here about this yet, so I'm just here to say how stoked I am about Built to Spill playing Music on Main in Victor tonight. If this is really indicative of a new musical direction for the MoM summer series, then I'm here for it! Would LOVE to see more bands like Built to Spill brought in. Well done, Teton Valley Foundation!

Wu-Tang on Snow King

So Snow King just sent out an email basically begging people to make their friends buy a ticket to the GZA/Raekwon/Ghostface Killah (Wu-Tang lite) show happening this Friday. I already have a ticket, but I'm worried that this email means they haven't sold very many of them. In the email it says:

"Know someone who grew up on Wu-Tang, The Pharcyde, or classic hip-hop? Send them the ticket link and invite them along. Let's give these legends the crowd they deserve."

I certainly agree with the sentiment and hope that the crowd is decently full. But I mean maybe if the crowd is not very full then the concert organizers can take home a lesson from this and realize that $110 is maybe just a little too much. Maybe the extra $20 for the gondola ride with the extra gondola cars that don't exist yet was a bridge too far for many people. And maybe trying to extort people into buying winter season passes in order to "save money" on concert tickets is not the best method for selling either thing.

I love these concerts, but it seems nothing in this valley is safe from overwhelming greed.
