Marina Del Rey Fireworks - Questions

If you've been to the Marina Del Rey fireworks show in the past, can you answer some questions about logistics? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious, and there aren't too many traditional fireworks shows this year.

  • How crowded is it?
  • Where's the best place to watch from?
  • Where's the best place to park?
  • Are there tickets (and are they worth it?), or do people just drive out to the general area to watch?

I can't go to the 6/25 Stavvy show in LA. Floor, Row DDD, 2 tix. Anyone here interested?

I hope this is okay to post. Ticketmaster has not enabled resale.

I'd love to break even, if possible, but if you really want to go and be up close, I'd consider taking a loss. I'll be at a wedding and am bummed I'm missing the show.

...is possibly the worst "beer" I've ever tasted. I looked it up in this sub, and people seem to like it. The six-pack I have is undrinkable and going down the drain.

Has anyone had it recently? Did it taste like regular Sapporo and/or a traditional Japanese light beer? I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm wondering if I got a defective product, since it's that terrible.

I've had great luck with almost every modern NA beer, so I am surprised at how bad this one is.

Our second year of doing this tasting in West LA. Great lineup again this year:

  • 2025 Realm Fidelio Sauvignon Blanc (not shown; opened while people arrived) - high acid, slate, tropical, electric. Another great vintage of this wine.
  • 1984 M. Perron Cotes du Jura - oxidation, butterscotch finish
  • 1986 Zanada Fils Côtes du Jura - oxidation, hazelnut / walnut finish
  • 1989 Domaine Huet Vouvray Moelleux Première Trie Le Mont
  • 1970 Château Troplong-Mondot - past peak; all acid and damp library book; do not recommend buying
  • 1970 Château Giscours - youthful; tons of fruit; tasted like early 90s
  • 1970 Château Lynch-Bages (Magnum) - youthful; more pyrazine than the Giscours, also super fresh
  • 1992 Dalla Valle Napa Cabernet Sauvignon - an actual baby; stonefruit, classic, pre-Parker Napa style
  • 1959 Moulin Touchais Anjou Blanc Reserve du Fondateur - my WOTN, but sweet wine is a cheat code. Nuanced, complex, long finish, a hint of pear. It reminds me of d’Yquem but tastes completely different, being a Chenin Blanc
