Radio.txt stations glitching, audio clicking, popping

Hi everyone,
I picked up a hiby r1 today. I added radio.txt to root of the sd card, and used radio.txt creator to create a custom list.
This is what's in the radio.txt file -

100 GREATEST OF THE 80'S, https://maggie.torontocast.com:2020/stream/100greatestofthe80s
Different Drumz Drum & Bass Radio, https://differentdrumz.radioca.st/stream
When i stream either of these radio stations the audio cuts out straight away then plays for a micro second then cuts out again, like a bad mp3, its really choppy and doesn't stabalise. I tried switching to a different wifi access point (im literally right next to the router) to no avail. Latest firmware installed.
Both radio stations ^ stream fine when i click play via the radio.txt creator website on my pc/iphone safari.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!.
