LookAtMe theme
LookAtMe - a clean Rockbox WPS theme for iPod Classic (Gen 5–7)
Minimalist Now Playing screen with full-screen album art, scrolling track info, and a thin progress bar - nothing else in the way.
Features:
Album art that stays. The cover remains visible both on the WPS screen and when you navigate into the menu. No blank screens, no interruptions, no drama.
Pause transparency. Pause the track and the UI quietly steps aside, leaving just the album art. Resume and it all comes back. Simple as that.
Auto-hiding info bar. Track title and artist disappear after 5 seconds, letting the album art breathe. Tap the wheel to bring them back whenever you need them.
Lock screen. Always shows the current track name. Because staring at a blank screen and wondering what's playing is not a personality trait.
Now Playing in menu. The "Now Playing" menu entry shows current track info inline.
Custom progress bar color. Settings → Theme Settings → Colors → Foreground Color. Match your mood, your case, or whatever you're feeling today. Note: background color is baked as static black across multiple layers - changing it will reveal a small colored strip artifact. Just leave it alone, trust me.
CJK support. Japanese, Korean, Chinese - all scripts render correctly.
No cover art? No problem. A clean asterisk placeholder keeps things looking intentional rather than broken. And on the USB screen, the asterisk spins - because even data transfer deserves a little personality.

P.S: A lot of work went into making this feel as simple as it looks - getting a theme this minimal to actually work reliably on real hardware takes more effort than I'd think. Hope you enjoy it.
One known bug: the colored strip artifact when changing the background color - that's on my list. The long-term goal is to make the theme fully compatible with Dynamic Colors in RockPod, so that's something to look forward to.
A custom quickscreen is also on the table, though honestly the current one is clean, minimal, and does exactly what it should - so maybe it stays as is.
I've also been thinking about setting up a Ko-fi page someday — to share future projects and ideas, and if you happen to really enjoy what I make, well, you'd have a way to support me there. But that's a plan for later.
For now, a comment costs nothing - and that's more than enough. Just Free.99
P.S.S: I made this whole presentation just for fun - don't take it too seriously 😄
