Bought an X4 from a Taobao seller 30 April without knowing about locked devices. Braced for the worst and happy the community found a way to install custom firmware regardless albeit limited to Crosspoint/Crossink (technically also other forks, but only once). Device finally arrived, connected to my laptop with a C to C cable, and lo and behold, it's an unlocked stock! Popped in some books and here I am enjoying reading anywhere unlike my Kobo Sage that's been collecting dust because I can't just pocket the thing everywhere I go.
