Seeking long-term freelance Lightroom editor for wedding & Bar Mitzvah photographer
I’m an independent photographer based in Washington, DC, and my business has grown to the point that editing all of my own photos is no longer sustainable. I would love to form a long-term relationship with a photo editor who I can trust to match my style and be available when I need them. I mostly need help editing family portraits and large galleries from Bar and Bat Mitzvah parties, weddings, and other events. The ideal freelancer should be able to return each gallery within 1-2 weeks. I expect to handle the culling (at least initially), while the editor would use Lightroom/Photoshop to edit (including applying masks and removing background objects when necessary). I do have an Imagen AI profile that I can share or apply to images before sending that will create a baseline for my color/editing preferences. I have dozens of shoots per year, and this could easily be a $10k+/year ongoing opportunity for the right person.

- What would you charge to edit 400-500 candid/party photos in LR (with Imagen baseline edits already applied)?
- What would you charge to edit 150 family portrait photos (many requiring removing distractions and background objects - no cosmetic retouching necessary)?
- On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best), how skilled are you at applying masks in Lightroom?
- On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best), how skilled are you at cleanly removing objects using the Generative AI/Remove Tool (in Lightroom and/or Photoshop)?
- How much experience do you have editing large galleries of event photos in Lightroom?
- Do you have before/after editing samples you can share from an event or family portrait session? (Please no beauty retouching, real estate, or advertising samples.)
- Are you willing to do a free test edit of 2 images (possibly followed by a paid larger edit of 30-40 images)?
