Anyone have an idea of when the financial aid packages for continuing students (loans, scholarship, awards…) come out? I’m just a little antsy to know how much I should be working and saving lowkey… planning for the worst with federal cuts
Just finished my second year as MechE with a civil minor, GPA during apps was 3.4.
Had an internship last year with a government facilities department. Spent the past year hard into club work and undergrad research projects.
For this season, the first interview that led for the fall offer is an energy efficiency position at my university. Mostly analysis work but pays well for a campus job with flexible hours and relevant experience.
The second set of interviews I got was a 15 minute chat with one rep, then a 45 minute long discussion with 3 members of the company in question, and 1 guest from a partner company. Got rejected from the main company, but a representative reached out from the partner corp and offered me a summer position last minute. The internship is an MEP design position in a large city. Unconventional I know but I am very excited.
Hoping to get into sustainable sectors after school like transport, energy, or MEP. Ideally next year I hope get an internship with a relevant public agency or a clean energy company.
