Have to decline my ADN acceptance…

So I got admitted into my local ADN program and I was sooooo excited, and today I got my acceptance to USC for Health and Human Sciences!!! The insane part, my mom is an NP at Keck so my tuition is completely free. I think it would be so stupid of me not to take this offer and then apply to ABN programs when I graduate. Either way it would take me 3 years to achieve my BSN. And the networking through USC I feel like I can’t give up. I’m 21 and am a year behind from being on academic probation in 2023 so this is a crazy accomplishment for me, USC has always been my dream school and k was crushed when they got rid of the FNP program. I Was so prepared to start nursing school this fall but this is insane news!!!

So happy I could cry

Just opened my letter from my local CC that I was admitted for the Fall 2026 cohort!!!!! I’m in disbelief, I have a 3.7 GPA and 3.8 science GPA but zero clinical experience and minimal volunteer hours. I got denied for everyyyyyy single cal state and was really starting to lose hope. I’ve always been naturally smart however, really struggled with my mental health after being cheated on and so much mental trauma I almost didn’t graduation high school and was placed on academic probation after my first semester of college. I almost feel imposter syndrome thinking I don’t deserve this??!! Yet at the same time I’m so happy!!!! I’m in socal so for anyone thinking they’re not qualified or have no chance just TRY!!!! EEEEE I have been dreaming of the day I can say goodbye to the Reddit pre nursing community:,) good luck to all my baddies doing their pre reqs, doing their applications, or who may be trying for another cycle. The hard work pays off!!
