New sensors at TSA checkpoint?

I need a TSA agent to help me understand what's been happening to me.

For the past year or so, every single time I go through the TSA checkpoint, I set off the sensors. When they show me the scan, there's a red box over my groin/crotch (sometimes two yellow boxes on either side of the red one). I've never once flown with anything in or near my pants, let alone my groin. My running joke is that I'm "packing too much heat," but in all seriousness, I'm really tired of having agents feel me up every time I go through security. I understand it's their job, but this has only been happening for the last year.

TSA agents, why does this keep happening? Are they using new scanners/technology? Is there any way to prevent it?
