Toddlers Kept In Washing Machines, Locked In Toilets: Horror At Bengaluru Daycare

Children between two and three years old made to sit in the drum of a front-loading washing machine, water sprayed into their mouths with a toilet jet spray, and locked in bathrooms - these were the inhuman punishments allegedly meted out at a daycare centre in Bengaluru.

A case has been filed against five women caregivers at the centre, which was operating inside the HAL campus of Capgemini.

"The toddlers were made to sit in washing machines, water was sprayed into their mouths and they were locked inside bathrooms to silence them when they cried," said an official.

BJP president's directly threatening the Gen-Z of India and instructing its party workers to attack Gen-Z protesting against 'repeated paper-leaks'

In an indirect attack on Cockroach Janata Party, Bharatiya Janata Party chief Nitin Nabin has alleged that the ‘virus and cockroach people’ are a gang that wants to divide the country. Only BJP workers can teach a lesson to such people that want to divide the country, Nabin said.

He is clearly instructing his party workers to attack Gen-Z, who are protesting against 'repeated paper leaks' and demanding the resignation of the education minister.

Later in his interaction with students the Viksit Bharat Students Conclave held in an educational institution in Hyderabad, Nabin said the Gen Z are youth who constructively build their careers and contribute to national growth, not those who question the country's Constitution and culture.

“No one is asking what Gen Z really wants. Today, some opposition forces want to incite the youth by copying so-called Gen Z movements from other countries. But Indian youth are not anti-establishment. Indian youth do not believe in anarchy. They believe in nation building”.

"Those with a 'tukde tukde gang' mindset, who raise divisive slogans and challenge the country's Constitution, culture and soul cannot be India's Gen Z", he said.

E20 Ethanol Blending is an Experiment, results likely by the Next Year - Government of India

The government on Tuesday told the Supreme Court that the country's 20 per cent ethanol blending programme in petrol is still an ongoing experiment and the impact of the policy would become clearer by next year.

The remarks come amid a wider debate over the programme, with the government repeatedly defending the move as beneficial for energy security, farmers and the environment.

Attorney General R Venkataramani made the submission during arguments in a petition filed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) challenging a Karnataka High Court order related to ethanol allocation for the 2025-26 supply year.

In its plea, BPCL argued that the order could affect the government’s broader policy objective of achieving 20 per cent ethanol blending in petrol.
