A family member bought this painting from the artist, who was a student at RISD, in 1964-5. We do have ties to the state and school.
I would love to see what else Ileane Charland created or when(if?) she attended RISD. Any info would be appreciated. My whole life I thought this was a random print and did not know it had a backstory.
My grandmother has several lamps and would like to help in figuring out more about them including age and their current value. She does not plan to sell but is curious as they were gifted to her many years ago.
This one is brass and slag glass(?), probably from around the 50s or earlier(?).
Where should I look for a makers mark or other details?
She also has some beautiful painted floral oil lamps converted to electric. Those will get a post of their own.
Any help is appreciated!
