I’ve been watching a lot of animated movies with my kiddos and I see a lot of the time, the grandma living with the family of the protagonist.

Swapped, The Lorax, Luca, Moana. I’m sure there are more but those are the main ones in rotation in our house lately 😂 maybe you could say Coco and Encanto, but that’s like full extended family dwelling, not just the gramma.

The grandma figure seems to be spiritually tuned in, a little mouthy/uncouth, and leads the protagonist on their journey.

Idk, just wanted to talk about this trope I guess, this family dynamic isn’t prevalent where I live. Is this pretty common in other parts of the world?
