Unifi key fob is not ready for protect

OK, this is rather frusterating. I bought 2 Fobs. Simple goal, arm away, arm night, disarm. It even has those 3 icons printed right on the buttons from the factory. I thought maybe I could do some cool Home Assistant automations with the other buttons in the future. Do you think I can get my 4 cameras and a couple of motion sensors running on the UNVR Instant to work with the Fob? Nope! You can't program the buttons to arm and disarm the system when the console is set to Local Alarm Manager. It needs to be set to Global Alarm Manager. Do you think I can change it? Nope! error. spent an hour on two separate occasions with claude trying to sort this out. It will not let me change to Global. The suggested work around? Webhooks with home assistant. THE DAM FOB CAN'T EVEN ARM THE SYSTEM THAT IT IS MADE TO WORK WITH? Furthermore, in order to get the fob to work with the global alarm manager, I lose access to arming the system in home assistant, and the global alarm manager on uses "armed" and "disarmed" and there is no feature for setting up custom alarm profiles. What?? This is crazy. It has the custom "away" and "night" buttons right on the front! I'd probably return the unoped fob if shipping wasn't so damn expensive... Rant over.

UTR to extend IoT network

I’m trying to set up the UTR for a mobile application. I have a Jeep with a lithium battery and Victron DC to DC charger both Bluetooth enabled. I’ve set up an ESP 32 as a Bluetooth proxy and I’m trying to get that to talk to Home Assistant over the UTR. I have a dedicated Verizon hotspot to work with the UTR so they are always online and connected and the UTR is broadcasting a clone of my home IOT SSID .I can open up a browser on my computer at home and access the Bluetooth proxy web config page at it’s IP address given by the UTR. I set up wire guard VPN on the UTR with firewall rules to allow VPN to talk to Home Assistant. Home Assistant can still not see any of my accessories through this connection. The idea is to have battery state, charging power and temperature sensors reporting to Home Assistant whether my Jeep is at home or out. Has anyone gone down this path? I’ve been going in circles with cloud for a couple hours now resetting restarting downloading. Still nothing works.
